Which is why I'm not posting. And I have all these pictures of Portugal I want to share!
My muse says otherwise, though. "Thou must write, and get to it right now, okay?"
The good news is that I'M ALMOST FINISHED WITH MY BOOK. I expect to finish this draft next week and send it to my beta readers. Oh Happy Day.
News about the arm? Ultra sound seems to confirm tendon damage. I see my orthopedic surgeon Wednesday, but at last meeting, when he order the ultra sound, he seemed to feel physical therapy can suffice. Thank goodness.
Hope all is going well with all of you, and I look forward to when I can be back and interactive. But now I must hie to the keyboard for other reasons.
Everyone take care and stay well.
Happy writing.
ReplyDeleteWrite away, dear. I look forward to seeing what transpires.
ReplyDeleteHow does one become a beta reader?
So glad you're almost finished with your manuscript. Congrats! I'm getting close to finishing my frst draft, but it's going to take more time for mine.
ReplyDeleteThanks, EC!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, thanks for the boost.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, a beta reader is a friend who loves to read (ficiton for my needs) and lends an objective reader's eyes to the story. I.E., they read it the way they would read a book they like and catch things that stand out or impair the read. (Usually in a nice way, as in, "I was bumped when . . ." or "I didn't quite get why . . .") That sort of thing. It's so helpful, because when you are writing, you know what you mean, but it isn't always on the page. :-)
Is Bleubeard interested in being a beta reader? It would be interesting to have a cat's view. :-)
Natalie, I'm so happy for you. It's so rewarding to see the end in sight. And you've been so patient about waiting for enough time to write. I will look forward to your book when it's finished. Take care and stay well.
ReplyDeleteGrab that muse while she's with you! The pictures will still be there when you have a break. Happy writing!
ReplyDeleteGreat advice, Donns. Thanks!
